Cameron smiled a little. He had sort of expected Addie to become all shocked and immediately reject him - either that, or she'd blush and start acting shy again. But to his surprise, she accepted his offer, even if it was in a bit of a nervous fashion. Maybe she was much bolder than he thought.
"Alright then," he said softly, pressing their foreheads together and staring directly into Addie's pupils. It was safe to say that Cameron was not nervous at all. He'd kissed and made out with plenty of girls before. The only thing nagging him at the moment was the fact that this was definitely a form of leading her on. There was no way of denying it later.
"Oh, wait a second," he said, suddenly pulling away from her and reaching into his pocket. A second later, he pulled out a pack of gum and popped a stick of it into his mouth. After all, he had just smoked a cigarette. The last thing he needed to do was completely gross the girl out. Cameron continued chewing for a few more moments, and then spit the wad of gum out over the edge. That would do it. He stuffed the pack back into his pocket, and then resumed his position.
Oh, so charming.
"Now, I'm going to gently press my lips against yours, okay?" he murmured, giving her the play-by-play. "And when I do that, make sure not to act too quickly. Sometimes girls get so excited and they try to bite the guy's lip off. Don't do that. It really hurts." He smiled a little, still staring intensely into her eyes. He lifted a finger and stroked the bottom of Addie's chin delicately.
"Basically, just move your lips against mine until we match a rhythm. Depending on the type of person you are, you're either going to think it's breathtaking and romantic, or just a slimy overlapping of mouths." He paused. "My first kiss, I was kind of disgusted by it all. So if you feel a little sick, just let me know, and we can stop." Cameron thought back to his first kiss. It hadn't been pretty. He supposed all first kisses were extremely awkward, and he hoped it wouldn't be so bad for Addie.
His eyelids lowered halfway. "The most important thing to remember, though: don't try using your tongue yet. First kisses should be more innocent than that. Besides, using your tongue always implies that you want to go further. At least, that's how I look at it." He flashed a devious grin, but it faded away in moments. Time to get serious again.
"On the count of three." He spoke so quietly now that it was almost a whisper. "One... two..." Ditching the number three, he closed his eyes and leaned in, connecting their mouths and relaxing.

It was then that Addie began to wonder why she had even agreed to this. It wasn’t like she’d ever have to do it again. Boys didn’t seem interested in her or at least, that’s how it seemed to her. She had different interests than most teenagers. She supposed that why they weren’t especially into her. Sure, music was a big part of a lot of teenager’s lives, but not all the teenagers were as paranoid as Addie was, or as shy as Addie was. She kind of wished for that prince charming to come and sweep her off of her feet when she least expected it. It was better that way. She wanted a boy to truly dig down into her soul and figure out what had been bothering her for the past year. No one really tried to do that.
Whenever Cameron pulled away, she suddenly felt like he was going to leave, just as any other boy decided. Addie gave Cameron the benefit of the doubt, watching him intently. She had gotten used to the cigarette smoke since he had been sitting there smoking for the past few minutes, so when he decided to pop a piece of gum in his mouth, she was rather surprised. Any other time, she probably would have been completely repulsed at his actions, but this time it seemed different. It seemed like he was being genuine and not trying to show off. Addie was beginning to feel terrified, mainly because she had no idea what her breath was like. It couldn’t be too bad. She brushed her teeth almost three times a day and didn’t eat foods that smelled terrible. Plus, she hadn’t had anything but Diet Coke today anyway. She grinned when he spit the gum out over the edge, shaking her head slightly.
Before she knew it, his forehead was against hers. His explanation sounded just like it did in the movies, or how a famous romance novelist would write it. Addie admired Cameron for that. She listened to the sound of his voice, then nodded coherently. He didn’t have to worry about her feeling sick. Her stomach was already doing cartwheels. Addie learned to supress that. She looked into his eyes rather quizzically. “Disgusted?” She questioned, tucking one of her brunette locks behind her ears. “I don’t think I’m going to be disgusted.” Addie shrugged.
On the count of three…
As his lips touched hers, she realized he hadn’t even said three and had taken her by surprise. It was almost automatic how she closed her eyes, attempting to sink into it. Addie tried to follow his instructions, letting her lips move rythmatically. In all truthfulness, she had no idea what she was doing. She didn’t think she was jumping into it at all, and she surely hoped she wasn’t chomping down on his lip. It didn’t feel like she was, but she continued to kiss him anyway, slowly backing away from it, then biting down on her bottom lip. “I’m not sick or disgusted,” She said with a chuckle.
